About Me

Deanna Dixon
Hi! Just wanted to let you know a few things about me before the semester begins! I received by B.A. in English from Florida State University and am a graduate of Clemson University's M.A. in English program. I am currently working as an adjunct English Instructor at Greenville Technical College, and I am also the Literacy Coordinator for Anderson Adult Ed Center. Before attending graduate school, I taught 9th, 10th, and 11th grade at Venice High School in Venice, FL. My first job after graduating college was at a publishing company, The History Press, in Charleston, SC. For my undergraduate degree (also in English), I attended four different universities: University of Florida, College of Charleston, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and Florida State University. I was recently married and share my home with my husband and my two wonderful dogs, Max and Lucy. In my free time I enjoy reading (of course!), playing with my doggies, watching football (esp. the University of Miami Hurricanes!), and watching HGTV. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you this next semester!
